Cole Stock is an English musician, songwriter & multi-instrumentalist. The British indie-pop artist has a song so laid back it’s perfect for a relaxing Sunday titled ‘Me & You’. If you’re not already relaxing when you put it on you will be in a moment or two, so instant is the feel-good feeling emanating from this track.
Our first reaction was this is a song much like something you would find on a McFly album. So we were not surprised when we were told that he would appeal to fans of Mcfly, Sam Fender, Blossoms, Coldplay, Oasis, Scouting for girls & The Kooks. He definitely has that 2000’s sound going on in this release.
The independent artist is best known for his British indie-pop sound and has given us a powerful anthem. Lyrically he is traversing the theme of broken relationships as well as reminiscing on the good times, whilst trying to understand why some relationships just don’t work out.
Musically people could be forgiven for thinking they were listening to an entire band. The summer song is upbeat with guitar melodies and easy-listening vocals. The song, which was probably complex to construct, seems simple and effortless. Which is an amazing vibe to give off and oozes confidence.
Stocks music, which is a mix of classic noughties indie pop and brit rock is starting to gather a lot of attention, with Stereophonics guitarist Adam Zindani referring to his music as “Perfect Guitar Pop”. Understandably he is going places and is one to watch out for in the future.
Stream this one in the evening when you are winding down from the day on a comfy beanbag and you’re bound to find your toes tapping and head bobbing.
This song can be found on Amplified Magazine’s March 2021 New Music Playlist.
There are lots of other great songs on there too so why not give it a listen and a like. The more popular our playlists become, the more great artists will want to feature on them and we will be able to bring you even more awesome music.
